Emirates has reinstated its pre-pandemic flight capacity to South Africa, now offering 49 weekly flights across Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban.
This expansion includes a fourth daily flight to Johannesburg, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, adding 354 additional seats.
While South Africa won’t be seeing Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin in the near term, the airline’s connections remain robust. Through codeshare agreements with SAA, Airlink, and interline agreements with CemAir and FlySafair, passengers can access 60 regional destinations, including Margate, Port Elizabeth, and George.
This service builds on Emirates’ long-standing presence in South Africa, having served the market since 1995, with over 20 million passengers flown to date.
The fourth daily flight will introduce a morning departure from Johannesburg on the following schedule:
