A new era for Lion Sands Ivory Lodge

Lion Sands Ivory Lodge will reopen to guests on 22 September 2025, unveiling a fresh chapter in its storied legacy. The transformation, now underway, promises a sophisticated redesign that enhances the lodge’s signature luxury and connection to nature.

Led by Marneweck Swart Architects, with interiors by Sarah Ord and landscaping by Tim Steyn, the revitalised lodge will feature dramatic double-volume spaces and expansive glass windows framing the Sabie River. New additions include a wine room and deli, botanical-inspired reception, safari lounge, Artist Residency, fire deck and open-air WC. Guest suites will be softly refurbished to complete the refreshed aesthetic.

The exclusive Fish Eagle Residence will see the addition of a third en-suite bedroom, an expanded viewing deck and fire deck, a new arrival platform, wine room and a private kitchen to elevate its private villa offering.

The relaunch marks a meaningful evolution for Lion Sands, with the team set to share more behind-the-scenes insights as the project progresses.
