Auric Air adds Lake Natron to East Africa flight network

Auric Air has added Lake Natron in northern Tanzania to its scheduled flight network, connecting the destination’s Engaresero Airstrip to seven other points across East Africa. The new route gives advisors an easier way to add the flamingo-lined lake and its volcanic surrounds to existing safari or East Africa itineraries, rather than relying on road transfers alone.

Lake Natron sits beneath the active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai and is known for its shallow, mineral-rich waters, which turn a distinctive red-pink colour due to salt-loving microorganisms, and for hosting large flamingo populations.

Daily scheduled flights link Lake Natron to key safari hubs

Auric Air is operating daily scheduled flights connecting Lake Natron–Engaresero Airstrip with Zanzibar, Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Serengeti, Manyara, Tarangire, Kigali and Entebbe. The connection allows Lake Natron to be built into broader northern Tanzania circuits or combined with Rwanda and Uganda itineraries via the Kigali and Entebbe links.

Advisors with clients seeking a less-visited addition to a Tanzania or wider East Africa safari now have a scheduled air option to reach the destination, rather than requiring a private charter.
