Bushwise expands into Botswana with new Tuli Block safari and agent portal update

Bushwise Exclusive has expanded its footprint into Botswana with the launch of a new ranger-led safari experience in the Tuli Block, alongside an updated agent portal aimed at improving trade access to product and rates.

The move marks a significant product extension for the South Africa-based operator, introducing its immersive “Ranger Experience” concept into a new destination and creating fresh opportunities for advisors selling repeat Africa travellers.

New Botswana base targets experiential safari demand

The new offering is located within the 11,000-hectare Tswehe Wildlife Reserve in Botswana’s Tuli Block, a region known for its rugged landscapes, large elephant populations and lower visitor volumes compared to the Okavango Delta.

At the centre of the experience is Lone Tree Camp, an intimate five-tent property accommodating up to 10 guests, designed for small groups and exclusive-use bookings.

Bushwise will offer both a six-night set departure itinerary suited to FIT bookings and fully customised private safaris, giving agents flexibility across different client segments.

Skills-based safaris differentiate product

The Botswana launch builds on Bushwise’s established training-led safari model, shifting the focus from traditional game viewing to hands-on learning experiences.

Activities include wildlife tracking, behavioural interpretation, astronomy, navigation and guided visits to San rock art sites, as well as sleepouts under the stars and access to an underground photographic hide.

The format is designed to appeal to experienced travellers seeking a deeper, more educational connection to the destination, particularly those who have already completed classic safari circuits.

Trade tools updated with expanded inventory

Alongside the new product, Bushwise has updated its agent portal, providing access to expanded departure dates, itineraries, rates and marketing assets.

For the Australian trade, the Botswana addition broadens the operator’s portfolio beyond South Africa, enabling advisors to package more diverse, multi-country itineraries while maintaining a consistent product style.

As demand grows for experiential and purpose-led travel, the Tuli Block launch positions Bushwise to tap into a niche segment of the market focused on active, story-driven safaris.
