Desert & Delta Safaris has returned to Australia and New Zealand this month, reconnecting with key African wholesale partners and strengthening its presence in the region.
With visits to Perth, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, the Botswana-based safari operator is reinforcing relationships and showcasing its extensive safari offerings across the country.
A growing market for Botswana safaris
In a sign of the growing interest from Australian travellers, Australia has moved from being the eighth to the fourth largest source market for Desert & Delta Safaris in the past year. Speaking at an exclusive trade event at The Tilbury Hotel in Sydney, Sales and Marketing Manager Stephen Frenkel thanked industry partners for their continued support and emphasised the importance of in-person engagement.
The company’s approach to affordable luxury and seamless booking options continues to resonate strongly with agents and travellers seeking unforgettable safari adventures in Botswana.

Ten lodges, endless experiences
With 10 camps and lodges across Botswana, Desert & Delta Safaris offers access to the country’s most iconic wildlife regions. From land and water-based safaris to sleep-outs under the stars, wellness retreats, fishing trips and scenic helicopter flights, travellers can enjoy a wide variety of curated experiences.
Among the brand’s key developments is the reopening of Xugana Island Lodge, slated for April 2025 following a full rebuild. The relaunch is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to offering high-quality, immersive experiences in the Okavango Delta and beyond.
Over 40 years of safari leadership
Since its founding in 1982, Desert & Delta Safaris has become one of Botswana’s most respected safari operators. Locally managed and deeply rooted in conservation and community, the company continues to lead the way in delivering authentic, sustainable and memorable travel experiences.
