SANParks has announced that the Ebb & Flow Rest Camp in the Wilderness Section of the Garden Route National Park is now open.

The camp was temporarily closed due to flooding last week.

SANParks says that none of the accommodation facilities were affected by the floods and that accommodation and camping are now available for bookings.

The Half Collared Kingfisher trail, Gallunule bird hide, Brown Hooded Kingfisher trail, Waterside boardwalk, Woodville Big Tree, Outeniqua hiking trail, and canoeing activities remain unavailable at this time.

The telephone lines at the park have been completely repaired and are now functioning as usual.

The Tsitisikamma and Knysna sections of the Garden Route National Park remain open to the public.
