Emirates will resume daily services between Dubai and Durban from 10 June 2026, increasing capacity on the route as demand continues to recover.
The airline currently operates four weekly flights but will return to a full daily schedule, strengthening connectivity between South Africa and key global markets.
Capacity boost for key South Africa route
The reinstated daily service will see Emirates operate flights EK775 and EK776 each day.
EK775 departs Dubai at 10:15 and arrives in Durban at 16:35, while the return service EK776 departs Durban at 18:40 and arrives in Dubai at 05:00 the following day.
The move marks a significant increase in seat capacity on the route, particularly for long-haul travellers connecting via Dubai.
Improved connectivity for trade
For the travel trade, the return to daily operations offers greater flexibility and improved connection options to Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
Durban remains an important gateway for KwaZulu-Natal, supporting both inbound tourism and outbound travel demand.
Increased frequency is expected to support itinerary planning, particularly for multi-stop Southern Africa journeys.
Network recovery continues
The Durban increase reflects a broader trend of airlines restoring capacity across Africa as international travel demand strengthens.
Enhanced connectivity is expected to support tourism growth and reinforce South Africa’s position within long-haul travel networks.
