Etihad Airways has confirmed the return of its popular seasonal route to Zanzibar, with flights operating from 14 June to 6 September 2026. The airline will offer four weekly services between Abu Dhabi and Zanzibar, providing travellers with a seamless connection to one of East Africa’s most sought-after summer escapes.
Flights will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using a two-class Airbus A320, featuring both Business and Economy cabins.
Stronger connections from Europe and the GCC
The Zanzibar route will benefit from Etihad’s growing European and GCC network, offering smooth connections for inbound travellers heading to the Indian Ocean. With its white-sand beaches, spice farms, and rich Swahili culture, the destination is expected to attract both leisure travellers and those looking for an exotic stopover.
“Zanzibar is the perfect summer escape, and we are thrilled to welcome it back to our growing network,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.
“From world-famous beaches and spice markets to rich history and culture, Zanzibar has something for everyone. We know it’s a destination our guests have been eager to see return.”
