Etihad to double Nairobi service with twice-daily flights

Etihad Airways is set to significantly boost connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Nairobi, with the launch of twice-daily flights on the route from December 15.

The airline currently operates four flights per week to the Kenyan capital, but the new schedule will see services increase to 14 flights weekly – more than tripling current capacity. Under the new schedule, EY767 will depart Abu Dhabi at 08:45, arriving in Nairobi at 12:55. The return flight, EY768, will depart Nairobi at 13:50, landing in Abu Dhabi at 19:50. A second daily service, EY769, will leave Abu Dhabi at 02:05, arriving in Nairobi at 06:15. Its return leg, EY770, will depart Nairobi at 07:15 and touch down in Abu Dhabi at 13:15.

Broader Africa expansion

The Nairobi increase comes as part of Etihad’s wider network growth across Africa. On August 1, the airline upgraded its Casablanca route to daily services, while new direct flights to Addis Ababa will launch on 8 October 2025. The expansion underscores Etihad’s commitment to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub while meeting growing demand for both business and leisure travel across Africa.
