Exhibitor registration opens for Meetings Africa 2026

South African Tourism has officially opened exhibitor registrations for the 2026 edition of Meetings Africa, marking the 20th anniversary of the flagship business events trade show. The event will take place from 23 to 25 February 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

Advisory panel appointed to guide planning

In preparation for this milestone edition, SA Tourism has also established a new 13-member advisory panel made up of leaders from the MICE industry, business event companies, and destination stakeholders. The panel will support the planning and execution of the trade show, aiming to foster a more coordinated approach across the sector.

SA Tourism Acting CEO Darryl Erasmus said the organisation remains committed to inclusive and sustainable industry growth and to co-creating a platform that continues to position South Africa as a leading business events destination.

Industry leaders represented on the panel

The newly appointed panel includes:

  • Glenton de Kock – CEO, Southern African Association for the Conference Industry
  • Thulani Nzima – Chairperson, South African Township and Village Tourism Association (SATOVITO)
  • Thato Mothopeng – CEO, SATOVITO
  • Projeni Pather – Chairperson, Association of African Exhibition Organisers
  • Nina Freysen-Pretorius – CEO, The Conference Company
  • Jeffers Miruka – MD, African Associations Management Company
  • Amanda Kotze-Nhlapo – Business events strategist
  • Frank Murangwa – Regional Director for Africa, International Congress and Convention Association
