Fastjet Zimbabwe has announced a new regional route connecting Harare and Lusaka, with flights set to commence on 9 April 2025.
The introduction of this service marks a strategic expansion of the airline’s regional footprint and a significant step in boosting connectivity between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Convenient morning flights support business and leisure travel
The new route will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, using a 50-seat Embraer ERJ145 aircraft. Departures from Harare are scheduled for 06:00, arriving in Lusaka at 06:55. The return service will depart Lusaka at 07:25 and land in Harare at 08:20.
Fastjet Zimbabwe says the early morning timing is designed to give travellers more flexibility, particularly those travelling for business or looking to make the most of their day in either city. No other airline currently operates a morning schedule on this route.
Strengthening regional ties
The Harare–Lusaka route is Fastjet Zimbabwe’s first connection into Zambia and adds to its growing regional network. The move reflects the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional mobility and contributing to economic and tourism development across southern Africa.
Since beginning operations in 2015, Fastjet Zimbabwe has become a key player in the region’s aviation landscape, offering reliable and affordable services across its expanding network.
