Federal Airlines has announced a significant expansion to its fleet with the addition of two cutting-edge Pilatus PC-12 NG aircraft.
These state-of-the-art planes are designed to provide an enhanced travel experience with spacious seating, large windows for panoramic views, and a quiet cabin, ensuring comfort for passengers.
The new aircraft are particularly well-suited for landing on shorter airstrips, offering quicker and more direct access to Africa’s luxury game lodges and South African coastal and bush vacation destinations. This capability will streamline travel for guests, cutting down transit times to some of the continent’s most sought-after safari lodges and vacation spots.
Nicole Schickerling, Commercial GM – Shuttle at Federal Airlines, shared, “The new Pilatus PC-12 NG aircraft, ZS-OKA and ZS-TWF, will be primarily used on our Private Charter network. They’re ideal for small groups of friends, family, high-end leisure clients, corporate travellers, and private individuals heading to private luxury safari lodges and other top destinations across South Africa.”
Schickerling emphasised the versatility of the aircraft, highlighting their ability to operate efficiently in regional conditions and deliver pressurised comfort for domestic and continental flights. “With the PC-12 NG’s operational flexibility and its luxurious interior, including an onboard lavatory, it’s perfect for travel across Africa, offering guests added comfort and convenience.”
The addition of these aircraft not only enhances Federal Airlines’ private charter services but also underscores the airline’s commitment to customising travel experiences and saving time for its guests. This expansion ensures a seamless, comfortable journey to South Africa’s most exclusive and remote destinations.
