Forth & Wonder hosts Tanzania famil to boost advisor expertise in East Africa

Forth & Wonder has hosted a group of Australian luxury travel advisors on a 10-day famil through Tanzania, aiming to strengthen destination knowledge and support sales of East Africa itineraries.

The invitation-only trip focused on the country’s Northern Circuit, covering the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Highlands and Arusha, with an emphasis on first-hand experience and supplier partnerships.

Hands-on experiences build destination confidence

Five advisors took part in the journey, experiencing a mix of wildlife encounters, cultural visits and lodge stays designed to reflect the diversity of Tanzania’s safari offering.

Highlights included visits to a Maasai village on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, wildlife sightings in the Serengeti and interactions with conservation teams, including learning about cheetah research initiatives.

The group also experienced a range of on-the-ground moments, from sundowners in the Serengeti to close-up wildlife encounters, reinforcing the value of immersive product knowledge.

Education-led strategy supports trade partnerships

Forth & Wonder said the famil was designed to equip advisors with practical insights to better sell Tanzania and create more tailored itineraries for clients.

The operator continues to invest in educational travel as part of its trade engagement strategy, recognising the role of advisors in driving demand for high-value safari travel.

Growing interest in Tanzania among Australian travellers

The initiative reflects increasing interest in Tanzania as part of broader East Africa itineraries, particularly within the luxury segment.

By strengthening advisor knowledge, Forth & Wonder aims to improve confidence in selling complex, multi-destination safaris and position Tanzania more strongly within the Australian market.
