G Adventures has expanded its 2025 portfolio with new ‘Classic’ trips, featuring value-for-money safaris in Africa now open to travellers over 40.
This move comes in response to a rising demand from older adventurers seeking more grassroots, affordable travel experiences.
Sean Martin, managing director, APAC for G Adventures, highlighted the trend of older customers desiring basic, adventurous itineraries.
“We have a growing segment of older customers still looking for a rugged, exploratory style of adventure. Our new trips are perfect for them, and the prices can’t be beaten,” he stated.
In Africa, the new Classic trips will utilise G Adventures’ refurbished ‘Lando’ overland vehicles, which now feature upgraded amenities like improved purified water dispensers, enhanced driving technology for safety, and upgraded camping equipment, including tents, chairs, and mattresses.
Johannesburg to East Africa Overland Safari
One of the standout new itineraries is the Johannesburg to East Africa Overland Safari, a 27-day epic journey through seven countries. Travellers will explore the wild savannas of Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, experience an overnight bush excursion in the Okavango Delta, and visit iconic sites such as Victoria Falls and Zanzibar’s spice plantations.
Priced from $6,299 per person, this adventure promises a comprehensive exploration of Africa’s diverse landscapes and wildlife.
G Adventures’ expansion is a testament to its commitment to catering to a broader age range, ensuring that adventurous spirits, regardless of age, can experience the thrill of grassroots travel.
