Great Plains Conservation has announced three upcoming online training sessions for travel advisors, covering safari seasonality, digital sales resources and the role of guides across its African portfolio.
Running from September to November 2026, the next instalments of the “Zooming into Great Plains” series are designed to give trade partners deeper product knowledge and practical insights for selling safaris in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
Safari seasonality takes centre stage
The first session, “The Art of Timing: Africa in Every Season”, will take place on 3 September 2026 and be presented by Kelly.
The webinar will examine how changing seasons affect landscapes, wildlife, birdlife and safari experiences across Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya. It will also explore the benefits of travel outside traditional peak periods and the value available during Great Plains’ special-rate seasons.
For advisors, the session is designed to help match clients with the right destination and travel period based on the experiences they want from their safari.
Digital tools to support safari sales
On 1 October 2026, Great Plains Creative Director Candice will take trade partners behind the scenes of the company’s digital ecosystem.
The session will cover Great Plains’ wildlife films, Hero Camp content, live wildlife experiences, social media channels, websites, blogs and trade media portal, highlighting resources advisors can use for product education and client inspiration.
Guides in focus for final session
The third webinar, on 24 November 2026, will focus on safari guiding and guide training.
Presented by James Currie, Head of Sales for the Americas and Head of Guide Training, the session will examine the skills and training involved in becoming a Great Plains guide. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet guides working across different regions in the company’s portfolio.
Travel advisors can register for individual webinars or take part in all three, making the series a flexible training opportunity for agents looking to strengthen their knowledge of Great Plains and its safari destinations.
