Impodimo Game Lodge announces conservation levy update from July

Impodimo Game Lodge has announced an update to its conservation levy, effective for all new bookings made from 15 July 2025. The adjustment will support the lodge’s continued efforts in protecting the Madikwe Game Reserve’s wildlife and ecosystems, ensuring long-term sustainability and community impact.

The updated Guest Conservation Contribution reflects the vital role that tourism revenue plays in preserving endangered species and maintaining the natural environment. Contributions have already enabled the Madikwe Futures Company to reduce rhino poaching, clear invasive vegetation, improve road infrastructure, and create employment for local communities.

New levy structure effective for 2025–2026

From 15 July 2025, the new conservation levies will apply as follows:

  • International Adult: R475
  • International Child: R240
  • SADC Adult: R240
  • SADC Child: R120

Confirmed, provisional and quoted bookings made prior to 15 July will remain unaffected by these changes, with original rates honoured as agreed.

Impodimo Game Lodge reaffirms its dedication to conservation and thanks its trade partners for their continued support in helping protect the wildlife and landscapes of Madikwe.
