A new VIP terminal at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is set to open on 1 July 2026, marking a significant upgrade to Tanzania’s premium airport infrastructure.
Operated by Miracle Concierge, the Uhuru VIP Terminal is designed to streamline arrivals and departures for high-end travellers, with a focus on efficiency, privacy and personalised service.
VIP terminal enhances airport experience

Currently under construction, the terminal will offer a fully managed airport journey, including dedicated check-in, immigration and security processing within a private facility.
Guests will be able to bypass the main terminal entirely, with direct boarding and arrival clearance handled through the VIP terminal.
Facilities will include lounge areas, short-stay rooms, showers and quiet spaces, catering to travellers seeking comfort and discretion.
Trade benefits from smoother logistics
For travel advisors and operators, the development is expected to simplify guest handling, particularly for high-value clients and complex itineraries.
Dedicated meeting and coordination spaces within the terminal will support tour operators managing arrivals and departures, while separate VIP and VVIP areas cater to government and diplomatic travel.
The project has been developed in partnership with Tanzania Airports Authority, with senior officials recently inspecting progress ahead of the July opening.
Broader lounge network strengthens offering
The new terminal complements Miracle Concierge’s growing portfolio of airport services across Tanzania, including lounges at Arusha and Lake Manyara airports.
These services focus on meet-and-greet assistance, luggage handling and private lounge access, reflecting rising demand for seamless, end-to-end travel experiences.
As Tanzania continues to attract premium safari travellers, infrastructure upgrades such as the Uhuru VIP Terminal are set to play a key role in enhancing the overall journey.
