Life & Luxury has unveiled two limited-capacity familiarisation trips across East and Southern Africa for 2026, designed to give travel advisors deeper, on-the-ground product knowledge.
Each departure is restricted to just five agents, reflecting a shift towards more immersive and experience-led fam programmes.
East Africa itinerary blends beach and safari
The East Africa fam, hosted by Edwin Steyn from 26 October to 6 November 2026, combines Zanzibar with Tanzania’s northern safari circuit and the Maasai Mara.
The itinerary includes stays with Upendo Zanzibar and Nimali Africa, along with regional flights operated by Auric Air.
A hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti forms part of the experience, alongside visits to Tarangire and Arusha, offering a comprehensive overview of key East African products.
Southern Africa journey focuses on Zimbabwe and Botswana
The Southern Africa departure, hosted by Sonia van Niekerk from 6 to 13 November 2026, highlights boutique properties and conservation-led experiences across Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Agents will stay at Mbano Manor Hotel in Victoria Falls and Feline Fields properties in Botswana, with additional experiences including a visit to Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation and cultural interactions in the Kalahari.
Flights with Mack Air are included to demonstrate regional connectivity.
Small-group format supports trade engagement
The operator said the intentionally small group size allows for stronger engagement with suppliers and a more detailed understanding of the destinations.
