Desert & Delta Safaris is set to expand its Botswana portfolio with the relaunch of Mapula, a restored lodge in the northern Okavango Delta, with bookings now open ahead of its planned reopening on 1 March 2027.
Located in the private Sekwana Concession (NG12) along the Selinda Spillway, the property marks a strategic addition in a region known for year-round wildlife viewing and diverse safari experiences.
Northern Okavango location strengthens circuit itineraries
Mapula’s positioning in the northern Delta offers access to both land- and water-based activities, making it a flexible inclusion in broader Botswana itineraries.
Set on a private island, the lodge sits within a key ecological corridor linking the Okavango Delta and Linyanti wetlands, an area known for strong biodiversity and seasonal variation.
