From 1 November 2025, all international travellers to Tanzania will be required to pay a new Passenger Facilitation Fee of USD $45 each way, totalling USD $90 for a return flight.
This fee will be automatically added at the point of sale and included in the airline ticket cost—no action is needed from agents when booking.
Zanzibar mandatory travel insurance
This update follows the recent introduction of mandatory travel insurance for visitors to Zanzibar. The policy costs USD $44 per adult and USD $22 per child aged 3 to 17. Travellers must present a QR code for their insurance upon arrival, which can be obtained through the official portal.
