Sabi Sabi Collection is strengthening ties with the Australian and New Zealand travel trade as part of a strategic regional sales mission led by Trade Relations Manager Juan Nel. Visiting key cities including Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, Nel is engaging with Africa travel specialists to highlight the evolution of the Sabi Sabi brand and showcase its expanding luxury portfolio.
The visit marks a pivotal moment for the family-owned company, which rebranded in 2024 from Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve to Sabi Sabi Collection. The change reflects a broader vision focused on sustainable expansion and delivering elevated experiences grounded in conservation and community.
Major developments signal new era for Sabi Sabi

A key highlight shared during the sales trip is the upcoming launch of Sandringham Private Game Reserve. Set to open in 2026, the former hunting area is being reimagined as a dedicated conservation zone. Plans include new luxury lodges offering deeply immersive safari experiences with a focus on sustainability and local community upliftment.
Sabi Sabi is also preparing to expand into Cape Town, with The Claremont – a boutique hotel – scheduled to open on 1 September 2025. The addition represents the brand’s first city-based property and a new dimension to its offerings.
Strengthening ties with a key international market
At an industry event held at QT Hotel Sydney, Nel expressed gratitude to long-standing trade partners and shared updates on the collection’s next chapter. “We’ve had great support in Perth and Brisbane and are looking forward to connecting with more partners in Melbourne and Auckland,” said Nel.
“As Sabi Sabi’s second-largest international market, the appetite for African travel continues to grow and we’re excited to share our stories and plans with these important partners.”
The sales mission is supported by Ynot Concepts, Sabi Sabi’s long-standing representation partner in Australia and New Zealand.
