Simbavati Lodge Collection will reopen Simbavati Amani on 1 September 2026, bringing the Klaserie-based property back into its portfolio after a refurbishment aimed at repositioning the lodge within the contemporary safari market.
The relaunch introduces updated interiors, new suite configurations and an expanded exclusive-use offering, strengthening product depth in the Greater Kruger region for the trade.
Refurbishment delivers new suite configurations
Located in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Simbavati Amani now features seven Riverbed Suites, each with a private heated plunge pool, alongside a new two-bedroom interleading Family Suite.
The redesign focuses on larger, more flexible spaces, aligning with demand from both couples and family travellers seeking comfort-driven safari accommodation.
Exclusive-use villa targets high-value segment
A key addition is the ability to convert four Riverbed Suites into the exclusive-use Simbavati Amani Riverbed Villa, accommodating up to eight guests.
The villa includes a private safari vehicle, dedicated dining and access to a shared living area and heated pool, positioning it as a competitive option in the growing private villa safari segment.
Trade reassurance on existing bookings
Simbavati confirmed that all existing reservations will be honoured at previously agreed rates and terms, providing certainty for agents with forward bookings.
The reopening comes as safari operators continue to invest in refreshed product and flexible configurations to capture demand across both FIT and small group segments.
For the Australian trade, the return of Simbavati Amani adds renewed inventory in a key Big Five destination, with a mix of standard lodge stays and exclusive-use options suited to a range of client profiles.
