WTM Africa 2026 opens for registration with free access until March

Trade visitor registration is now open for World Travel Market (WTM) Africa 2026, set to take place from 14–16 April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Celebrating its latest edition, WTM Africa continues to position itself as the continent’s premier B2B travel and tourism trade event, connecting African tourism businesses with global buyers, media and industry thought leaders.

Registrations are free until 13 March 2026. From 14 March, entry will cost R900 per person, rising to R1,265 from 13 April.

A bold programme of new features and returning favourites

WTM Africa 2026 promises its most dynamic line-up yet, with fresh content tracks, high-impact networking, and targeted business development opportunities.

New for 2026 is the China Ready® Workshop, taking place on 15 April in partnership with the China Business Intelligence Service Network. Tailored for African tourism brands targeting the Chinese outbound market, the expert-led session includes CPD accreditation and a valuable industry report. Tickets are US$99 until 13 March (US$110 thereafter), with only 50 seats available.

Also debuting is the Africa Tourism Investment Conference (ATIC), held on 14 April and presented with JLL Africa. The full-day forum will be led by Gillian Saunders and is designed to foster sustainable investment in African tourism.

The Stellenbosch Experience returns on 14 April, showcasing the region’s food, wine and culture through an immersive tasting event. It forms part of the broader Wine Tourism Conference, which also includes the premiere of the Blaauwklippen documentary on 13 April.

Spotlight on women, youth and inclusive tourism

WTM Africa 2026 will also introduce the Women in MICE Awards and a high-profile leadership breakfast on 15 April, co-hosted by Women in Tourism and Women in MICE. A dedicated WIT masterclass will focus on branding, leadership and visibility for women in tourism, while a joint youth mentorship session will run as part of the NextGen Ready programme.

The event’s broader content programme will tackle timely industry themes including artificial intelligence, traveller psychology, wine tourism, LGBTQ+ travel, and authenticity in tourism. Creative formats such as the Sound Garden and Brain Box will offer fresh learning spaces across the show floor.

Media professionals can look forward to the third edition of the Africa Travel Week Media Awards and a strengthened focus on storytelling, responsibility and representation in tourism journalism.

Backed by strong industry partnerships

WTM Africa 2026 is supported by a growing network of official partners. Lift returns as the event’s local airline partner, while Southern Sun and the President Hotel will accommodate exhibitors and delegates. The International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) is also confirmed as the official host of EQUAL Africa Pride, WTM Africa’s flagship platform for LGBTQ+ travel and inclusion.
