Zambia has confirmed updated visa fees and border access arrangements for international travellers, as the revised pricing came into effect from 1 January 2026.
Under the new structure, the cost of a single-entry visa will increase from USD 25 to USD 50, while double-entry visas will rise from USD 40 to USD 80. Multiple-entry visas will also increase slightly, moving from USD 75 to USD 80. These visas generally allow stays of up to 90 days from the date of first entry.
Popular regional visas remain unchanged
Despite the increases to standard visa categories, Zambia has retained pricing for two key options popular with leisure travellers. The KAZA Univisa, which allows travel between Zambia and Zimbabwe under a single visa, will remain priced at USD 50. The Day Tripper visa, designed for short visits of less than 24 hours, will also remain unchanged at USD 10.
These options continue to support cross-border tourism around Victoria Falls and neighbouring attractions.
Visa-free access still in place for many travellers
Zambia continues to offer visa-free entry to a wide range of nationalities, meaning many visitors will not be impacted by the revised fee structure. The government has signalled that the changes are aimed at updating administrative charges while maintaining the country’s accessibility for international tourism.
What this means for Australian travel advisors
For Australian travel advisors, the updated visa fees are an important consideration when pricing Zambia itineraries for 2026, particularly for clients requiring single or double-entry visas. The unchanged KAZA Univisa remains a strong selling point for multi-country Southern Africa itineraries, especially those combining Zambia and Zimbabwe.
