The Zambia Tourism Agency has announced that the eagerly awaited Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX), originally set for June 13th to 15th, 2024, at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, will be postponed until 2025. This decision, prompted by unforeseen circumstances, aims to ensure the event meets the highest standards and expectations.

In a recent statement, the agency expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the postponement but remained optimistic about the future of the expo. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience arising from this decision,” the statement read. Although the specific reasons for the delay were not disclosed, the agency reassured stakeholders that the Mulungushi International Conference Centre would still host the rescheduled event in 2025. The exact dates will be confirmed after further consultations with all involved parties.

“We look forward to your cooperation and continued partnership as we embark on pre-event preparations for ZATEX to be held next year,” the statement continued, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to delivering a successful expo in 2025.

Stakeholders seeking more information about the postponement are encouraged to reach out to Betty Chabala at betty.chabala@zambia.travel, zatex@zambia.travel, or theoffice@africastzambia.org. The agency remains dedicated to maintaining transparent communication and ensuring a well-coordinated event next year.
