Minor Hotels has announced its debut in Zimbabwe with the Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel, adding to its luxury offerings at one of Southern Africa’s most iconic destinations.

The property, located just 15 minutes from Victoria Falls, will officially join the Anantara portfolio on 1 December, complementing the Anantara Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel and creating a unique dual-side experience along the Zambezi River.

A Milestone for Minor Hotels in Africa

The Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel is a significant addition to Minor Hotels’ growing presence in Africa, becoming the seventh Anantara property in the region. This move underscores the group’s commitment to expanding its luxury footprint on the continent.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of Minor International, said, “We are excited to announce the addition of a second Anantara property at Victoria Falls, showcasing our dedication to growing our luxury Anantara brand in Africa. This elegant boutique hotel embodies our commitment to deliver peerless hospitality and distinctive experiences in the world’s most desirable locations.”

The announcement will be followed by the mid-2025 opening of the Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp in Zambia, further solidifying the group’s investment in Africa.

A Boutique Retreat Near the Falls

Set within a conservation area, the 16-suite boutique hotel offers an intimate escape. Suites can be configured as double or twin accommodations, with interconnecting options for families seeking private two-bedroom spaces. Guests can enjoy a gourmet restaurant serving meals in the dining room, on the terrace, or in the gardens, as well as a lounge and bar offering a selection of teas, coffees, beers, wines, and cocktails.

Additional amenities include a garden swimming pool with shaded loungers and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property.

Activities for All Ages

The hotel’s proximity to Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Natural Wonder of the World, ensures a wide range of activities for all ages. Guests can experience:

  • Adventurous excursions: Boat trips to Devil’s Pool, ziplining across Batoka Gorge, and helicopter flights over the falls.
  • Wildlife encounters: Sunset cruises on the Zambezi River and game drives at the nearby Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, where guests can also participate in a black rhino conservation experience.

The property overlooks an active waterhole, offering remarkable wildlife sightings right from the hotel.
