&Beyond expands Botswana circuit with two new Delta camps

&Beyond has announced the launch of two new mobile-style safari camps in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, set to open on 1 March 2026. The new additions – &Beyond Sandibe Under Canvas and &Beyond Nxabega Under Canvas – complete a seamless seven-night circuit across three of Botswana’s most iconic safari regions.

Following the recent refurbishment of &Beyond Chobe Under Canvas, the latest expansion enhances the brand’s low-impact, high-experience product offering in one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations.

Safari in its purest form

Sandibe Under Canvas is located in a predator-rich concession of the Delta, offering year-round sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. In contrast, Nxabega Under Canvas presents a slower, more tranquil pace of safari with mokoro excursions, walking safaris, fishing and expertly guided game drives.

Each camp features just three tents, accommodating a maximum of six guests. The experience is deliberately intimate and stripped back, without sacrificing comfort.

Thoughtful design and sustainable technology

Tents are equipped with super king beds, double vanities, indoor showers, standing fans and Starlink Wi-Fi. Interiors blend earthy greens, light wood, woven textures and brushed metal, reflecting the surrounding Delta landscape.

Both camps are solar powered and include in-room power packs, USB ports and charging stations for electric safari vehicles – part of &Beyond’s commitment to low-impact travel.

Immersive and personal experiences

According to Riaan Venter, &Beyond’s Regional Manager for Southern Africa, the new camps are designed to offer a deeply immersive and authentic connection to the wilderness.

“Sandibe captures the energy of predator country while Nxabega reflects the calm of the Delta’s waterways,” he said.

The Under Canvas collection continues to appeal to travellers looking for raw, experiential safaris with a strong sustainability ethos – a trend that’s gaining momentum among Australian safari-goers.
