Bushtops outlines 2026 trade updates as it marks 20th anniversary

Bushtops has confirmed a series of updates for 2026, a milestone year for the luxury safari operator as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. The updates include anniversary inclusions, fleet expansion across East Africa and operational details for stays in the Serengeti and Masai Mara.

Private vehicle inclusion for non-solo bookings

As part of its anniversary celebrations, Bushtops will include complimentary private use of a 4×4 safari vehicle for all non-solo bookings throughout 2026.

The inclusion applies to both existing and new bookings. In the Serengeti and Masai Mara, Bushtops’ 4×4 safari vehicles seat either six or eight guests, making the benefit well suited to families and multi-generational groups.

Solo travellers wishing to secure exclusive vehicle use will continue to be charged the standard sole-use vehicle supplement.

Expansion of the 6×6 “Beest” safari fleet

Bushtops has also confirmed the expansion of its specialist 6×6 “Beest” safari vehicle fleet from June 2026. The expanded fleet will include two Beests operating in the Serengeti and two in the Masai Mara.

The Beest vehicle supplement is USD 1,000 per day, charged per night stayed. The vehicle must be booked for the full duration of the stay, availability is limited and subject to advance reservation, and each Beest accommodates up to six guests.

Updated rack rates and vehicle use options

Updated 2026 rack rate sheets are now available. While private vehicles are included for non-solo bookings under the anniversary inclusion, Bushtops will continue to confirm whether guests prefer private or shared game drives at the time of booking. Shared game drives will remain available.

Roving Bushtops returns to the Northern Serengeti

Following a successful first season, Roving Bushtops will return to the Northern Serengeti from June to mid-October 2026, operating from the same location as last year. The seasonal camp is positioned approximately 15 to 20 minutes’ drive from the Mara River.

The location provides access to a broader range of activities in addition to traditional game drives during the Great Migration period.
