G Adventures has unveiled its much-anticipated annual “Where to Travel” list, and among the top destinations for 2025 are South Africa and Morocco. These two African nations stand out for their unique travel experiences, blending adventure, culture, and community-driven tourism.
South Africa: wildlife and value-packed safaris
South Africa is quickly becoming a must-visit destination for travellers, offering exceptional value and unforgettable wildlife experiences. In 2025, G Adventures expands access to its fully refurbished “Lando” overland vehicles, which were previously exclusive to youth tours but are now available to all age groups. These vehicles provide an affordable yet comfortable way to explore the region’s diverse landscapes and iconic wildlife.
The 15-day Southern Africa Overland Safari takes travellers on a journey through South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Highlights include spotting the Big Five in Kruger National Park, gliding through the Okavango Delta in a traditional mokoro, and witnessing the majesty of Victoria Falls. The trip also incorporates cultural interactions, such as lunch with the Lusumpuko Women’s Club, supporting local community initiatives.
Morocco: a blend of culture, adventure, and comfort
Morocco continues to captivate travellers with its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and new travel experiences. G Adventures has launched 13 new itineraries in Morocco for 2025, catering to a range of interests. Among the highlights is the eight-day Southern Morocco: Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains & the Sahara trip, part of the premium Geluxe collection.
This trip offers travellers a chance to hike in the High Atlas Mountains, explore desert gorges, and experience the Berber oasis of Amtoudi. Unique stays include a luxury desert camp with air-conditioned tents and king-sized beds, allowing visitors to relax under the stars after a day of exploration.
With options for solo travellers, upgraded active adventures, and itineraries supporting remote communities, Morocco is set to remain a traveller favourite.
