Uber has teamed up with the Aquila Collection to launch UberSafari, a unique and limited-edition safari experience that is set to make Cape Town an even more compelling global travel destination.

This partnership, part of Uber’s ‘Go Anywhere’ series, allows tourists to book an unforgettable Big Five safari at Aquila Private Game Reserve, all through the Uber app.

Starting from 1 October until the end of January, UberSafari offers a seamless, half-day safari experience with just a tap. This exciting collaboration between the world-renowned mobility platform and Aquila, a leader in wildlife conservation, is designed to combine luxury and convenience, elevating Cape Town’s reputation as a bucket-list destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

“We’re excited to partner with Uber to extend our wildlife experiences to their customers,” said Johan van Schalkwyk, Commercial Officer of Aquila Collection. “UberSafari allows guests to book and enjoy an unforgettable day at Aquila in a luxurious and effortless way, while also supporting our vital wildlife conservation efforts.”

Frans Hiemstra, Uber’s Regional General Manager for the Middle East and Africa, highlighted how UberSafari fits perfectly into Uber’s broader ‘Go Anywhere’ series. “With UberSafari, we’re offering one of our most adventurous experiences yet. This collaboration with Aquila lets travellers unlock an epic South African experience with the convenience Uber is known for.”

UberSafari is part of a prestigious line-up in Uber’s travel series, joining offerings like UberBubbles in Paris, UberBalloon in Cappadocia, and UberBoat in Greece. This initiative places Cape Town firmly on the map of must-visit destinations, showcasing the city’s rich natural beauty, adventure opportunities, and its proximity to some of the world’s most iconic wildlife experiences.

The UberSafari adventure starts with riders being picked up in Cape Town by an UberSafari-branded vehicle, where they can relax as they travel to Aquila Private Game Reserve. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a welcome toast and treated to a delicious lunch. The main event is a safari led by experienced guides who ensure travellers have the best chance of seeing Africa’s Big Five. After the safari, guests can explore Aquila’s stunning grounds before heading back to the city.

Aquila’s commitment to conservation and sustainable tourism is at the heart of UberSafari. Every booking directly supports efforts to protect endangered species and preserve South Africa’s biodiversity, making this not only an unforgettable experience but also a meaningful one.

Bookings for UberSafari are available through the Uber app from 1 October, with reservations open from 90 days up to 24 hours in advance. The experience runs on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of January, offering travellers a rare opportunity to combine modern convenience with one of Africa’s most iconic adventures.
