Kenya Airways has announced the launch of direct flights between Nairobi and the Mozambican capital, Maputo, commencing from June 14.

Operating on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the new route aims to enhance connectivity between the two cities. Flight KQ740 is scheduled to depart Nairobi at 09:50, arriving in Maputo at 13:00, with return flight KQ741 departing Maputo at 13:50 and landing back in Nairobi at 18:45.

This expansion initiative is a key component of Kenya Airways’ broader strategy, which includes increasing frequencies to destinations such as Accra, Lagos, New York, and Paris, along with the introduction of a new domestic route between Nairobi and Eldoret.

Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer at Kenya Airways, emphasized that this network expansion aligns with the airline’s mission to foster Africa’s growth by facilitating connections across people, cultures, and markets.
