Zambia’s national carrier, Zambia Airways, is expanding its services into East Africa with the introduction of a new regional service linking Lusaka to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Nairobi in Kenya.

Commencing on 27 June 2024, the flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, stopping at Dar es Salaam and Nairobi.

The services on Tuesdays and Thursdays will fly from Lusaka to Dar es Salaam, then on to Nairobi before returning to Lusaka. On Saturdays, the flight will fly from Lusaka to Nairobi then to Dar es Salaam, from where it returns to Lusaka.

This strategic route expansion bolsters Zambia Airways’ presence in the East African travel market, aligning with the airline’s objective to improve connectivity and visibility throughout the region.

Zambia Airways CEO, Thomas Woldesenbet, said, “The network expansion underscores our commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and ensuring air transport services are accessible to a broad spectrum of customers.

“The commencement of services to Dar es Salaam and Nairobi will not only reinforce the bonds between Zambia and these two East African nations but also stimulate trade and tourism.”
